Navy Nurse Corp Questions?

I'm 20 and looking to go to school to get my BSN so I can join the Navy Nurse Corp. I don't know much about the Navy and or Military. Should I apply for the NROTC I was home schooled so I didn't do any rotc in high school. Or should I just go to school and then look at joining? This is something that has recently spoken to my heart and I am just looking for some information Thank you.
