How do i find a survivor name list from the vietnam war?

i found a marine corp helmet from the vietnam war in an old shed i tore down and it has all kinds of stuff wrote on it. i found a signature inside the helmet that matched the name stamped on the outside. i would like to find more info on this person, can anyone help?
